you are paying 1400 a YEAR !!!!!!! . That is crazy. forget about the offers you receive. Just go online and fill out quote requests from as many companies as you wish. it is all automated . so you can change values as to deductibles , etc and get instant quotes. no humans involved. You can prob cut that 1400 to 700 very easily. , now go online and do it. do 5 diff companies and see what you get. the reason they keep slowly raising your rate is because of people like your dad that will just keep paying it. so they automatically keep creeping the rate up and up.

Being a car lover and owner of a BMW I would say that a car of that nature should be around -/+ 20K…. Either there is something wrong vis a vis hit or stolen or it is a scam…Prob ask you for a dep. first and then a viewing…but €5,800 is so so cheap for that make/model and year even if there is 600k on the clock…Im Irish too and I dont like the sound of it….its normally the other way round when us Irish are brining the car into Ireland…. Ask for a viewing at least and see…but what normally looks too good to be true IS…..Gl m8
I would NOT involve the insurance company! This scratch is very minimal and if you involve the insurance company you can see an increase of 20% for up to 3 years! It would be more expensive in the long run. Also at least here in California Wawanesa has one of the cheapest rates out there, but they are very strict with their drivers, if you get a car accident or get a ticket they will not renew, which means that you will have to shop for another company at renewal and still have to pay the extra %20. I always tell my customers that insurance is meant to cover something very big, something you cannot cover, if you continously do small claims like this the rated A companies will no longer want to insure you. I don't think that scratch will be more than a couple hundred $
Also I know some companies that will not rate the accident if its under $750, however I do know that Wawanesa, might not renew if you have an accident.
