As a small business owner you know that you cant afford to not be ahead or at least on par with the competition right? Well if you’re a small business owner don’t have a small business websites yet, stick around.

So lets take an example, lets say you are a Plumber in the city of Long Beach, CA and someone has a slab leak, that someone is most likely gonna go onto his computer and type in Slab Leak Plumber near Long Beach, CA, right? Well if you don’t have a website then you will not come up and you are invisible to potential clients searching the internet. On the other hand your competition that do have small business websites will come up and you just lost yourself some new business!

Now we both know that you didn’t start up your business to let the competition trample you down now did you!?

You may think that creating a small business website is a complicated, expensive deal? If that is what you think then you are making a big mistake. Today, getting a website up and running is simple, quick and CHEAP!

If it isn’t obvious enough why you need a website for your small business then let me elaborate on a few other good reasons. Besides gaining new business from the internet, people searching for your company online would like to see a nice, professional looking website to make them feel better about purchasing your product or services. When you go to buy a new car would you rather the showroom be old, smelly and not well kept or a nice, new, modern styled and professional showroom? Your website is your image to customers on the internet and you want your small business to have a good image right?

Another great thing about that people don’t think about is that once you have it up and running you can list the website on your promotional materials such as business cards, flyers and even banners! Most people that see a banner will most likely just go on your website to see the list of products or services that you offer before they actually come in to ask about it. This way you are converting more potential clients into money… If you are driving down then road and see a banner for a plumber and a phone number, are you really going to call to see what he offers? No. But if there is a website that is easy to remember you will most likely go online and see what services that plumber offers.

In conclusion I think it is obvious as to why your company needs a small business website. But even if it isn’t, do your research, look up your competition online and see if it makes sense for you!

First of all, be careful with the names. Do you mean Princeton?Prinston?

I strongly suggest that any courses you take prior to applying to PhD programs are at least at the Masters level, and are not taken through distance education. Distance ed courses (or anything through Excelsior) will work against you in PhD admissions. If you wish, you could look into terminal MA programs in econ or geography, but why?

I honestly think you are underestimating yourself. With an Masters in Urban Planning already in hand, and with years of experience in the field, you should be looking at PhD programs.

Just contact the Directors of Graduate Studies in the programs to which you intend to apply, and ask questions. Your first question should be about letters of rec: "Would letters from employers be appropriate, given my situation?"

And finally, I think you are overestimating the time required for the PhD. If you are admitted to a program as a full-time student, you should receive an assistantship of some sort, which usually includes full tuition remission as well as a modest stipend. In this case, 5-6 years should suffice. (There are very few part-time PhD programs in most fields. I suggest you check into the situation in Urban Planning, however, since it is not my area of expertise.)

    Best wishes to you!

To Leah: Big Business is making trillions, they don't NEED taxpayers' hard-earned dollars.

    It is THEFT, nothing more.

Not only END it, but force those same companies to repay all that money. If they aren't making a profit on their own, then they shouldn't be continuing in business.

If they DO turn a profit, then they don't need subsidies.

Sugar, Oil, Tobacco, all still receive subsidies from taxes paid by regular Americans.

I was watching Nader on PBS doing a One on One interview with an NPR host. THis is one VERY sharp man and probably one of the most informed and intelligent people in the US. Nader would DEFINITELY get rid of Corporate Welfare. He would also penalize companies which take the handouts then close factories and plants and "outsource" their labor needs to Mexico, India, Taiwan, etc.

No MORE TAX BREAKS FOR BUSINESS. Not to "stimulate employment" not to "ensure low costs" not for ANY REASON.

Perry is a team player, meaning he is the King of cronyism just like his clone Bush and the really big money capitalists want him back. He no doubt will reward Wall Street with the gift of deregulation if they get him elected. Big oil can get their subsidies and pollute all they want. The wars will rage, the army will protect the oil fields in the Middle East for Haliburton, BP and Koch. Big insurance won't have Obama telling them what to do and no Obamacare to worry about. However, Americans have been burned and all the money in the world won't help Perry get elected. Perry's De Facto NAFTA super highway, which cost, 175 million dollars, will never be finished. Bush taught us a hard lesson we won't be forgetting for a long, long time.
Karl Rove was his mentor but once Perry became governor he went Rogue and ditched Rove. Rove, and several powerful republicans , hate him and since Rove controls the republican purse strings Perry turned to his cronies for money and essentially said if you help me get elected and I will make all of your wildest dreams come true.

just pick something(s) that add up to 2.2b and tell why you would cut them.

Personally, I believe in grannycide Cancelling the CPP saves 1.4b, and the resulting lack of old, sick people would easily save the healthcare budget .8b The heirs will get over their grief as soon as they get their inheritance.

Why this choice? because the future belongs to the young.

This action would also stimulate the economy of funeral homes and all related services (more hearses made, more burial suits, coffins, flowers for the memorial, headstones) and the young would get their inheritances sooner, and buy the goods and services they need. (new cars, houses, appliances,,,,educational degrees,,,)

Or cut all secondary education. After people graduate they will make more than enough money to repay their student loans and other debt. Why should the taxpayer pay?

Or declare Steve Jobs an honorary Canadian, and tax his 8.8b estate at 25%. His heirs will still have more than enough money, and no one will be hurt.

California is a perfect example of why we do NOT want our country turned over to "Progressives". It is a failed experiment in liberalism. Best to just give it back to Mexico. Although they may refuse it when they see what they owe.

What is even more scary is the depiction of Ayers as a terrorist…. I mean the guy was a knucklehead activist, that wanted to cause pain to what he saw as a corrupt government… But he did not have any ill will towards any citizens… In his skewed way of thinking he probably thought he was acting on our behalf…. Im am not for one second implying that I don't think he was a criminal. He was and deserved to go to jail, but I would not categorize him as a Terrorist.

Up until his decision to become a unifying person, Obama was a huge supporter of both reparations and racial preference programs. Sorry, I'm not buying the snake oil he's selling. His entire life has been devoted to community organizer, an occupation that lawyers who can't cut it pursue. It involves nothing more than keeping the poor believing that they are victims and every successful person is in that position by stepping on the poor.

He bundled native Americans in with his reparations bid. The exact quote is:

"I consistently believe that when it comes to whether it's Native Americans or African-American issues or reparations, the most important thing for the U.S. government to do is not just offer words, but offer deeds."

Seems to me he is saying that the government should be paying reparations. He forgets that the government isn't the one paying, it's the taxpayers of this country. More evidence of his wealth transfer ambitions.
